About Mims Innovations

Mims Innovations, Inc. was founded in 2006 by entrepreneur and former Information Technology executive Jeffrey M. Mims. We work with small and medium size businesses as well as individuals in assessing their management and technology situations and providing expert leadership to grow businesses and transform lives. We provide fully-managed, turnkey Internet Presence establishment.

Our goal is to help our customers sell products more efficiently and ultimately grow their businesses by leveraging the power of the Internet without the need for business owners to worry about the technical details of implementation. We handle the complete service of creating and marketing businesses over the web.

In addition to providing managed Internet Promotion services and independent business consulting services, Mims Innovations manages and participates in several venture projects.

Jeff, the Executive Director and Founder of Mims Innovations is an experienced executive with well-rounded skills in management, sales, marketing, technology, communications, accounting, finance, human resources, and legal matters. He has worked successfully with many diverse organizations in terms of size and culture, across numerous industries. Additionally he has experience with healthcare, biotechnology, manufacturing, logistics, energy, high-tech, telecommunications, publishing, and services industries.

While he has a considerable technical background in software development and has been working with web technologies since their inception in the early 1990s, he is a business man first and foremost. He has detailed knowledge of business operations, including building companies from scratch, growing businesses, and navigating the intricate processes and expansive budgets of the Fortune 500. From managing personnel and budgets to managing projects, he employs a wealth of business knowledge and maintains the ability to adapt and learn in changing environments. Jeff feels his breadth of business experience affords him a better perspective of even narrowly scoped projects and industries.

Jeff has worked for several technology services companies as a senior software engineer, project manager, department manager, and senior executive. He also spent several years working as consultant on software/web development projects, contracting through various agencies. In 1999 Jeff left the contract agencies and founded Mavenspire, Inc. He grew the company from nothing to millions in annual sales by 2005. In June of 2006 Jeff completed his divesture of majority ownership in Mavenspire, and in August of the same year he founded Mims Innovations, Inc. with the mission of finding direct ways to improve the lives of others.

Jeff received his Bachelor of Science degree from Towson University in Towson Maryland, and holds numerous professional certifications in the fields of technology, business, fitness, and martial arts.
